Goshen Girl’s basketball Holiday Tournament sponsored by Applebee’s Restaurant:
Goshen High School is excited to partner with Applebee’s restaurant to host one of the most competitive girls’ varsity/jv holiday basketball tournaments in the state of Indiana on 12/28/13. Competing teams are DeKalb, John Glenn, Goshen, and Tipton. Tipton is currently 6-0 and ranked #1 in the state of Indiana in class 2A. Goshen is currently 7 – 1, DeKalb is currently 6-2, and John Glenn is currently 7-0. Below is the schedule for some great girls HS basketball:
Junior Varsity times: 11 pm and 2:30 pm
Varsity times: 12:30 pm and 4:00 pm

The website reads that the “Redskins are members of unquestionably the best girls basketball conference in the state of Indiana, the NorthernLakes. They have quietly started the season 7-1 and 1-0 in conference play.”

The Northern Lakes Conference is proud to announce that this is the conference’s 50th year of competition. Current members(year joined): Concord(1967), Elkhart Memorial(2000), Goshen(1976), Northridge(1987), NorthWood(1964), Plymouth(1964), Warsaw(1964), and Wawasee(1968) are all hanging banners at indoor facilities commemorating 50 years of outstanding competition and sportsmanship exhibited by the schools in the Northern Lakes Conference.
The Northern Lakes Conference and its’ members are proud to promote education based athletic programs. Since joining the NLC current members have enjoyed tremendous competitive success at the state tournament level.
The NLC boasts 57 individual state champions, 40 mental attitude award winners, 19 team state champions, 3 Miss Basketball honorees, 2 Mr. Basketball honorees, and 30 team state runner ups. Student-athletes from the Northern Lakes Conference seasonally represent our communities with pride throughout the state of Indiana!
