Freshman Girls Basketball Addition

The GHS Freshman Girls’ Basketball team has an addition to their schedule for this season. They will now play Concord on Saturday, January 17th at Concord High School starting at 9:00 AM.

Saturday AM Contests @ GHS Moved to Noon

The last home swim/dive meet in the current GHS swimming pool was scheduled for 9:30 AM on Saturday, 1/10/15.  Due to cold AM wind chills and blowing snow, the start time has been moved to noon.

GHS is also hosting a 9th grade boys basketball tournament on Saturday that was scheduled to start at 9 AM.  That start time has also been moved to noon.

Last Home Meet at GHS Swim Pool on 1/10/15

With the construction of the new swimming pool on the GMS campus scheduled to be completed before the 15-16 swim season, this Saturday’s scheduled meet with Wawasee is likely the last home swim/dive meet in the history of this facility.  The meet is scheduled to begin at 9:30 AM for diving with swimming events starting at approximately 10:45 AM.

Thousands of GHS student-athletes have competed in this facility, Coach Bryan Rathke won 13 NLC championships and a record 61 consecutive dual meets while calling this facility home, and Coach Mark Schelbert directed one NLC championship team and a state runner-up team while calling this facility home.   There are wonderful memories of this facility for many.

Due to temperatures, the meet may be moved back to later in the day on Saturday.  Check the GHS website at ghs.goshenschools.org and/or @GoshenAD via twitter for updates.
