The Goshen boys tennis sectional scheduled for Friday, September 30th at 4:30 PM will now be played at East Lake Athletic Club in Elkhart due to weather. The address is: 3400 Henke St. Elkhart, IN 46514.
The Goshen Boys Tennis Sectional will be played at Goshen Middle School 9/28 – 9/30.

The site will be the Goshen Soccer Complex on the Goshen High School campus. Concord, Elkhart Central, Elkhart Memorial, Goshen, and Northridge are the participating schools.
October 3: 6:00 PM, Concord vs. Elkhart Central (home)
October 5: 5:00 PM: Elkhart Memorial vs. Goshen (home)
October 5: 7:00 PM: Northridge vs. Winner of Game 1 (home)
October 8: 7:00 PM Winner of Game 2 vs. Winner of Game 3 (home)
As set by the IHSAA, single night ticket prices are $6.00 for those in Kindergarten through adult and tournament passes are $10. There will be no charge for a pre-school child. There are no reserved seats. There will be designated school areas. Gates will open 45 minutes prior to the first game each session. No all-sport passes or student activity passes will be honored.
The following are not permitted: Electronic or battery powered noise makers, sirens or whistles, noise makers that simulate the horn (like vuvuzelas), balloons, banners and/or posters, bands, live animal mascots, or the throwing of articles, including toilet paper.
The JV football game scheduled for Saturday, September 24th against Warsaw will now be played at Goshen Middle School. Kickoff is at 10:00 AM.
The JV Girls Soccer game scheduled for Thursday, September 22nd against East Noble will now start at 5:30 PM due to the length of travel time to Kendallville.
The Cross Country meet scheduled for Tuesday, September 20th has been changed to Wednesday, September 21st. The meet will start at 5:30 PM. Senior Night and Fan Appreciation Night announcements will begin prior to the start of the race.
The Varsity football game scheduled for Friday, September 16th against Concord will now have a kickoff time of 6:15 PM due to the possibility of inclement weather.
Goshen High School and Edward Jones are proud to announce the student-athlete of the month award to recognize athletic and academic excellence. A senior male and female student-athlete will be selected from August-May each school year. At the end of the year, a $500 scholarship will be awarded to one male and one female student athlete of the month, as selected by the GHS coaching staff.
The winners of the Edward Jones Student-Athlete of the Month Award for August are:
-Carly Gingerich: Carly is the daughter of Dave and Marge Gingerich. Carly is ranked 3rd in the state for aces with an ace to error ratio of 3.5. Carly currently has 32 kills, 7 blocks, 142 assists and 65 digs. Carly is a Stay-in-Bounds Ambassador at Goshen High School. She is a 2-year captain for the volleyball team and was named Honorable Mention her sophomore and junior year and MVP her junior year. Carly was awarded the ElkhartCountySports.com Coaches Award her freshman and sophomore year. Carly plans to attend Eastern Mennonite University to study nursing and play volleyball.
-Rummel Johnson: Rummel is the son of Michelle and Christopher Wilson. Rummel is ranked 7th in the state for receiving yards with 253 yards and 5th in the state for receptions with 16. Rummel is also ranked 18th in class 5A for tackles. Rummel is a two year starter and plays wide receiver, outside linebacker, and punt and kickoff returner. Rummel is a member of the National Honors Society, Key Club, Student Council and is an ambassador for the Stay-in-Bounds program. Rummel was named All-State in track, NLC Honorable Mention in football, and was the sectional high jump champion. Rummel is undecided on which college he plans to attend, but plans to study in the medical field.
An additional game has been added to the JV and Varsity Boys Soccer schedule. The game will be on Thursday, September 29th at Laporte High School. The JV will start at 5:30 PM with the Varsity to follow at 7:15 PM.
The boys tennis match for Saturday, September 10th against Lakeland was postponed due to weather. The match will now be played on Friday, September 16th at Lakeland High School. The match will begin at 4:45 PM.
