The boys and girls swim and dive meet on Thursday, December 7th against Elkhart Memorial will now start at 6 PM. There will not be a diving competition prior to swimming events.
The Indiana Soccer Coaches Association has released the all –State soccer team for 2017. Goshen High School is proud to announce that Lucas Bontreger, GHS Senior, made 1st Team All-State and Jillian Kissinger, GHS Senior, made 3rd Team All-State. These high honors are voted on by coaches of the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association after the All-District game in Indianapolis.
Lucas is the son of Myron and Fran Bontreger, and has 2 younger sisters, Sophia and Olivia. Lucas plans to major in business in college and continue playing soccer at the college he chooses.
Jillian is the daughter of Larry and Kelly Kissinger and has an older sister, Leah, and an older brother, Louis. Jillian plans to attend Purdue University to study Construction Management/Graphic Design, but no college sports plans at this time.
In addition, Aniya Hartzler, GHS Junior, was named 2nd Team All-District and Flavio Cruz Cortes, GHS Senior, was named 1st team All-District. Manuel Castillo, GHS Senior, was named ISCA Top Team Player.

The girls C team basketball game scheduled for Tuesday, December 5th has been postponed to Monday, December 11th. The game will be held at West Noble High School at 6 PM.
Boys Basketball: The Varsity and JV boys basketball games on Tuesday, November 21st against Mishawaka Marian have been postponed to Saturday, January 20th. The JV start time is 6 PM followed by the Varsity at 7:30 PM. This change is due to Mishawaka Marian’s football team advancing in the state competition.
The freshman boys basketball game scheduled for Saturday, December 2nd against Lakeland has been cancelled.
Girls Basketball: The JV girls basketball game on Tuesday, November 14th against Mishawaka Marian has been cancelled. Due to this change, the Varsity game will now be played at 7 PM.
The C team girls basketball round robin on Saturday, January 6th has been cancelled. The team will now be competing in the Westview Tournament on January 6th at 9 AM.
The Goshen High School Fall Sports Awards night will be Monday, November 6th. This will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Gym including all fall athletic teams with individual team break-out sessions to follow. There will be cookies and juice available in the commons area after the individual team sessions.
Soccer: After defeating Crown Point 4-2 on Monday in the Regional Championship, the boys soccer team has advanced to Semi-State to compete against Harrison HS at the Kokomo Municipal Stadium on Saturday, October 21st. The game will start at 5pm and tickets cost $10. Kokomo Municipal Stadium is located at 400 S Union St., Kokomo, IN 46901.
Cross Country: After placing fourth at Regional, the boys cross country team has advanced to Semi-State and will compete on Saturday, October 21st at The Plex on the IPFW campus, just south of the Coliseum. The boys race will begin at 1 pm and admission is $5/person.
Congratulations to the boys XC team on their 4th place finish at the Regional meet last Saturday. THe boys advance to semi state this Saturday at IPFW this SAturday at 1 PM. Good luck boys!
Congratulations to the Boys Soccer team on their come from behind win over Crown Point on Monday to become Regional champs for the 3rd time in program history, all under Coach Viratham Mounsithiraj. THe boys fell behind 2-0 in the first 12 minutes, but took control from that point forward to win 4-2. THe boys play #1 ranked Lafayette Harrison on Saturday at 5 PM at Kokomo HS.
The Goshen Boys Soccer team defeated Penn on Saturday in the IHSAA Regional Semifinals at Merrillville HS. Due to weather, the championship game against Crown Point has been postponed to Monday, October 16th at 6:30 PM EST (5:30 PM CST) at Merrillville HS.
